At the Chattanooga Public Library, we have embarked upon patron driven collection development. Through the use of our Patron Request form, we invite our patrons to help build their public library collection. Since the program's inception, we have received more than 11,000 requests to date. Who makes these requests, what types of materials are being requested, do these items circulate and what do patron requests tell us about our customers?
